Beer Pairing:

Maltese Brewing 2 in Tappahannock is about 10 minutes from the trailhead. Tappahannock is the second location of this firefighter-owned brewery. They have 12 taps of test craft beer, indoor and outdoor seating, and a variety of food options are available in the adjacent shopping center.

Kathy likes hazy beers and Whacker (5% ABV), an American Pale Ale, is juicy with citrus notes from the hops. She was pleased. Pete really liked Pub Ale ESB (4.5% ABV), an English-style Extra Special Bitter. With notes of toffee and a nice bitter finish it’s a little bit of England in a pint glass.

Hike and drink responsibly. Never drink and drive. Stay safe, be responsible, and leave no trace.
